Dir: Wolf Rilla
Starring: Dennis Price and Liz Fraser

A sailor is late for his own wedding, but a bigger problem occurs when he gets a message from the Navy saying that he can not marry for certain ‘legal’ reasons

This rather fun comedy was based on the 1960 play of the same name by Falkland Cary and Philip King and was a sequel to the 1955 play Sailor Beware, which was itself given the ‘big-screen’ treatment in 1956 (qv). At the end of this film there are two stock shots of passing steam-hauled expresses. The first shows a London Midland Region express passing through Elstree & Borehamwood at the hands of a ‘Jubilee’ whilst the second shows a Western Region express passing through Slough hauled by a ‘Castle’.

An express thunders through Elstree & Borehamwood hauled by a former LMS ‘Jubilee’ Class 4-6-0
The film ends with this shot of a second express passing through Slough hauled by a former GWR ‘Castle’ Class 4-6-0. The stencil headcode appears to read ‘927’, an inter-regional reporting number unlikely to be seen out of Paddington.
