About the Author

Jonathan Horswell is a train driver of 17 years. He lives in Reading with his wife and two cats and has a healthy love of all things railway related. His interest in railway films stems from his ability to watch Thomas The Tank Engine without feeling too old, and The Railway Children without being afraid to admit that he cries at the ending every time. His favourite railway film is probably The Titfield Thunderbolt, though The Flying Scot is a very good film that is dreadfully overlooked. He sees himself as an eternal optimist and a huge football fan despite his love of Southampton Football Club, and he plans to one day write a book about Southampton FC and trains, which may be difficult, but should be a bestseller. He once got mistaken for Rodney Trotter.
