When the world’s only yeti in captivity is kidnapped from London Zoo, a group of children succeed in rescuing it

This Children’s Film Foundation family adventure has a Yeti that looks suspiciously more like Bungle from Rainbow than the ape-like creature purported to inhabit the Himalayan mountain range in Asia! It also has opening scenes that are filmed at Salmon Lane Lock on the Regent’s Canal in Limehouse. An 8-car formation of Class 302 EMU’s passes by in the background on the railway viaduct that links the Great Eastern main line with the LT&S route out of Fenchurch Street. There is also a scene a little while later that was filmed on Bishops Way in Bethnal Green with a train crossing the road bridge in the distant background. One final, further shot of a Class 302 on the LT&S route appears in closer detail towards the end of the film.

A Class 302 passes the Regents Canal at Limehouse on its way to Fenchurch Street
In this view facing west along Bishops Way, London E2, a train can be seen crossing the distant bridge carrying the railway north from Cambridge Heath station
Another Class 302 is passing behind Sean Barrett in this shot. The bridge behind is slightly further downstream from the opening shot filmed in Limehouse, and carries the connecting line between the Great Eastern at Bow Junction and the LT&S route at Gas Factory Junction.
