Starring: Simon Pegg and Rosamund Pike

Five friends return to their hometown to reattempt a pub crawl they failed 23-years earlier, only to discover the town is in the midst of an alien invasion

This apocalyptic comedy sci-fi has a scene near the beginning that was shot at High Wycombe railway station……playing the part of High Wycombe. Chiltern Class 165 Turbo DMU No.165032 graces us with its presence in the opening shot. For added interest, The Hole in the Wall pub that features as part of the pub crawl was in fact Letchworth Garden City railway station! However, we only get to see one very brief glimpse of its frontage.

165032 arrives into the bay platform at High Wycombe.
Passengers disembark from the train at journey’s end. Passengers used to exit the train on the opposite side but this new platform was opened to ease passenger flow on the down platform.
Nick Frost on the down platform at High Wycombe, now fenced off from the bay
The main characters outside High Wycombe station
The Hole in the Wall pub is in fact Letchworth Garden City station with a fake wall added to the facade beneath the awning
