A diamond robbery is masterminded by small-time crooks, only for a young boy to find himself unwittingly caught up in events
This quite decent crime heist melodrama features several scenes filmed in Morville Street, Bow, East London. On the other side of the boundary wall, Class 306 EMUs can be seen running along the Great Eastern Main Line out of Liverpool Street. At the time, these units were in as-built condition with a diamond pantograph above the cab on the leading motor brake second. Built in 1949, they were known officially as ‘Shenfield Stock’, not being classified until about 1960 when they were called AM6, and then from 1968 as Class 306. Another unit is also glimpsed through a bedroom window at the very beginning of the film. The final showdown takes place at London King’s Cross station at night, and in one scene a train is arriving into the platform in the background of one shot but it is too dark to identify the loco.
