THE SAINT’S RETURN - British Railway Movie Database

THE SAINT’S RETURN

GB
1953
1hr 13mins
Dir: Seymour Friedman
Starring: Louis Hayward and Diana Dors

The Saint goes after a gang that has murdered a former girlfriend

This was the first Saint film to be released in ten years, following RKO’s successful running of The Saint series from 1938-1943. It features a scene filmed on London Victoria station with coaching stock visible in the background but no locomotives are seen. Confusingly, this crime thriller was released in the US under the title The Saint’s Girl Friday.

A taxi arrives into London Victoria with ‘blood and custard’ coaching stock in the background
After alighting from the taxi The Saint (Louis Hayward) walks into the station to buy a ticket. Although it is much too dark to make anything out, this shot has been added for completeness.
