The story of Dutch artist Han van Meegeren, considered the finest art forger of all time
This American drama set at the end of the Second World War is based on the 2008 book The Man Who Made Vermeers by Jonathan Lopez. Despite being shot almost entirely in Holland, the opening sequence of a goods train being raided was filmed on the Bluebell Railway. This used Sharpthorne Tunnel and wagons suitably adorned with German military insignia, though no locomotives are present.
