An alcholic poet is paid to investigate a series of miracles at a former friend’s country estate

This fabulously raucous comedy drama was adapted from Stephen Fry’s 1994 novel of the same name and it features a handful of lovely shots of Chiltern Railways DMU’s passing through the countryside, including one on the approach to Saunderton Tunnel in Buckinghamshire.

A 2-car Class 165 ‘Turbo’ DMU passes through the verdant countryside of the Chilterns
It is probably the same Chiltern Railways DMU that is in this shot
Filmed from the bridge carrying the Upper Icknield Way over the line, this shot shows a two-car Class 168 DMU approaching the short, 83-yard long Saunderton Tunnel. The only problem is that the shot has been inexplicably reversed. The track curves around to the left and not the right as depicted here.
