After a black-marketeer is murdered, the killer goes after a witness to the crime

The climax to this thriller was shot on Romney Marsh and some of the sidings around the former Dungeness station and the surrounding area are visible though no rolling stock is present. Also, in an aerial shot from the Old Lighthouse at Dungeness, the narrow-gauge Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway can be seen curving away to the right adjacent to the old standard gauge railway line from Appledore.

This shot is taken from Dungeness Old Lighthouse with the end of the standard gauge branch from Appledore in the foreground. The single derelict building is the former Dungeness station, closed by the Southern Railway way back in 1937. It remained open for freight until 1953 but by the time of closure there was very little traffic. The film was shot two years prior in 1951 and the tracks already seem to be virtually abandoned. The turning circle for the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch narrow-gauge railway is on the far right.
This is very much the end of the line as Maxwell Reed runs towards the buffer stop. The derelict platform and building of the old station at Dungeness is in the background.
This is an excellent shot of the old Dungeness station of the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Light Railway, as viewed from the Old Lighthouse.
The sequence at Dungeness starts with this view of track workers at a very basic level crossing on the standard gauge line.
