This science fiction film is based on H. L. Lawrence’s novel The Children of Light and was shot entirely around Weymouth and Portland. In one scene as Oliver Reed and his gang run along the quayside, an ex-GWR 1366 Class 0-6-0PT is briefly glimpsed in the background moving slowly along the Weymouth Quay Tramway with a train of vans.
