As her marriage crumbles, a High Court judge must decide a case involving a teenage boy who is refusing a blood transfusion on religious principle

This complex yet rather laboured drama is held together by another powerful performance from Emma Thompson, who at one point in the film travels to Newcastle by train. There are shots of the actress sitting in the First Class of a Mark 3 set, and some views outside the window show a couple of trains and a station passing by in a blur. However, upon arrival into Newcastle we catch a glimpse of a Tyne & Wear Metro train crossing the Tyne on Queen Elizabeth II bridge. The film was written by Ian McEwan and is based on his 2014 novel of the same name.

This is the station briefly seen as the train flashes through on its way to Newcastle. It is somewhere on the East Coast main line and should still be identifiable.
