An aspiring singer wins a trip to London and the promise of a record deal

This musical romance is really poor, and it is difficult to believe that the producers made this film and then expected to get it distributed. It was re-released in the US nearly three years later in 1962, with added striptease scenes that took the running time to 66 minutes, making it eleven minutes longer than the original British production. This ‘new’ version was also retitled The Amorous Sex. The film includes a single shot of a former LNER A1 Class 4-6-2 passing through a suburban station, probably on the southern end of the East Coast main line.

This rather poor image shows an A1 Pacific passing through an unknown station
