An unstable medium convinces her husband to kidnap a child so that she can help the police solve the crime and achieve renown for her abilities

This intelligent and absorbing drama features a lengthy suspense scene filmed on the London Underground. Both Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus stations feature along with a scene filmed onboard 1962-built Central Line stock (identifiable through car No.9165). Although neither station is on the Central Line, the 1962-built stock occasionally worked on the Piccadilly Line services, hence their appearance at the aforementioned stations.

This is obvious enough. Leicester Square Underground station and the corner of Cranbourn Street and Charing Cross Road

A nervous Richard Attenborough looks back as he has a brief respite from the crowds. This is one of the stairways to the platforms at Piccadilly Circus.
Having escaped from the ensuing police, Richard Attenborough peers out of the train just as the doors are closing. This is 1962-built stock.
The film includes this interesting driver’s eye view of a train arriving into Piccadilly Circus station, though in a slight continuity error this is the Bakerloo Line as the platform is on the left.
Back at Leicester Square again, but a different entrance this time. This is the entrance on the Charing Cross Road itself. Note the ‘London Transport Advertising’ board on the right.
