A young sailor has trouble with his overbearing mother-in-law-to-be

This comedy film is an adaptation of the successful stage play of the same name by Falkland Cary. It features a night scene filmed at Somerset Road crossing in Teddington with a passing pre-war EMU set. As it is dark it is not clear exactly what type of electric unit features.

This residential street is Linden Grove, Teddington, though the level crossing and attendent box were officially known as Somerset Road. Both have now gone, though a footbridge retains the right of way for pedestrians.
As Peggy Mount questions the sailors, a pre-war EMU crosses. It appears to be running empty as the carriage interiors are dark.
