SAILOR BEWARE

GB
1956
1hr 21mins
Dir: Gordon Parry
Starring: Peggy Mount and Ronald Lewis

A young sailor has trouble with his overbearing mother-in-law-to-be

This comedy film is an adaptation of the successful stage play of the same name by Falkland Cary. It features a night scene filmed at Linden Grove level crossing in Teddington with a passing pre-war EMU set. As it is dark it is not clear exactly what type of electric unit features.

This residential street is Linden Grove, Teddington. The level crossing and attendent signal box have gone, though a footbridge retains the right of way for pedestrians.
As Peggy Mount questions the sailors, a pre-war EMU crosses. It appears to be running empty as the carriage interiors are dark.
