An ex-con becomes the prime suspect when a series of young women are murdered

This entertaining little thriller was released in the US under the title Fog for a Killer, the title of the 1960 novel by Bruce Graeme on which it is based. It features one very dark shot of an empty train of London Underground ‘Standard’ stock at night, and the available evidence suggests it may be at Acton Town.

The destination board on the back of this empty train of ‘Standard’ stock reads Hounslow so it is therefore a Piccadilly Line train. The signal identification plates appear to have the WL prefix for Acton Town, so this is likely to be an empty train heading back to Acton depot at the end of its shift.
