This crime film features several scenes that were shot in Dudley Road, Southall, and in the background of one, an ex-GWR 5700-series 0-6-0PT is shunting some wagons in Southall Gasworks. A remarkably similar shot had appeared the previous year in The Gay Dog (qv). This film was based on the Robert Chapman novel of the same name.
