A film examining the relationship between Nora Barnacle and her husband, the Irish author James Joyce

This raunchy drama is based on the Brenda Maddox biography Nora: The Real Life of Molly Bloom and includes scenes filmed on the Irish Rail network with K2 Class 2-6-0 No.461. The initial scene was filmed at ‘Galway’, but it is not yet known which station/s were used in this production. There is also an early street scene in Dublin, said to be in Nassau Street with a tram visible in the background. This may be a set, but I would be interested to know either way.

Susan Lynch on the platform of ‘Galway’ station as K2 Class 2-6-0 No.461 pulls in during the opening scenes
Platform staff open the doors as the train draws to a stand in the later scene
Passengers file out of the station passing loco No.461 ‘on the blocks’
No.461’s cab and tender are shown in more detail in this more elevated viewpoint
This is said to be Nassau Street in Dublin but I think this is a set. The tram is visible at the far end.
