MARILYN

GB
1953
1hr 10mins
Dir: Wolf Rilla
Starring: Maxwell Reed and Sandra Dorne

Tragedy strikes when the young wife of a garage owner lusts after a new mechanic

This film noir is highly regarded in some circles, with several historians calling it one of the best British B movies of all time. It features one brief scene filmed at Shepperton station, but no trains are visible, and a shot of a steam-hauled express passing through the countryside at an unknown location. Two years after its release in the UK as Marilyn, the film was released in the US as Roadhouse Girl.
