LIFE IN EMERGENCY WARD 10

GB
1959
1hr 26mins
Dir: Robert Day
Starring: Michael Craig and Dorothy Alison

The life of a new registrar at a small county hospital

This drama was based on the hugely successful television series Emergency – Ward 10 but it was not deemed as popular. It features good shots of Hayes and Harlington station with a local suburban train pulling away, though only the wheels and motion of the 61xx-series 2-6-2T hauling it are visible. However, the shot of Michael Craig outside the station uses a different one entirely, which has been identified as being Weybridge in Surrey.

This is the up relief platform at Hayes and Harlington station with a train of suburban coaches departing

Only to now be outside the station building at Weybridge!
