LAUGH IT OFF

GB
1940
1hr 18mins
Dir: John Baxter
Starring: Tommy Trinder and Jean Colin

A vaudeville entertainer is called up to serve and is ordered to perform for the troops

This wartime musical comedy features an early shot of an LNER Class B12 4-6-0 passing through an unknown station on an express. This is then followed by a stock shot of a train arriving at London Waterloo, and a going away shot of the rear of a train, all of which are used to depict Tommy Trinder’s journey on the LMS!! There is then one final shot of a vintage 0-6-0 (?) tender engine bringing a train in to a station but the identity of both the loco and the station remain as yet unknown.

An LNER express passes through a station hauled by a Class B12 4-6-0, a not all too common loco to have appeared on film.
This grainy stock shot shows a train arriving into London Waterloo, doors already open, and porters at the ready
The rear coach of this passenger train has the number 132 A on the back. This could be a Southern Railway coach set.
Help with identifying this locomotive, thought to be an 0-6-0, would very much be appreciated.
