HIDDEN HOMICIDE

GB
1959
1hr 11mins
Dir: Anthony Young
Starring: Griffith Jones and Patricia Laffan

A writer wakes up in a strange cottage, with a gun in his hand and a dead body in the house

This neat little mystery drama was based on the 1951 novel Death at Shinglestrand by Paul Capon. The film features a number of railway scenes, the first of which was filmed at Merton Park where BR 2 EPB No.5750 is leaving on a Headcode 2 (West Croydon – Wimbledon) service. There are also shots of the frontages to both Teddington station and Wimbledon Chase station with its distinctive art-deco curved concrete façade.
