In 1960s Dublin, a young girl has an affair with a middle-aged writer

Written by Edna O’Brien, who adapted it from her own novel The Lonely Girl, this drama was mainly shot in Ireland and thus includes a scene on the Irish Rail system. Although there are good shots onboard a train the only station scenes are at night, and in the pouring rain, thus making identification difficult. However, at the very end there is a brief scene filmed on the London Underground with Rita Tushingham alighting from a 1959-built train at Bounds Green station on the Piccadilly Line, which is then followed by a shot of her in Holborn with the entrance to the old Kingsway Tram Tunnel in the background.

Onboard a train on the Irish Rail system. Is this the interior of a laminate coach?
Having arrived at a station in the pouring rain, Rita Tushingham runs on to a lattice bridge that gives access to the platforms from the road. The station building is on the right.
Sheltering from the rain at the station, Rita has two hours to wait for the next train. The identity of this station is not yet known.
Now in London, Rita Tushingham leaves the train at Bounds Green station on the Piccadilly Line
And as she runs through the streets of Holborn, the walled entrance to the old Kingsway Tram Tunnel is behind her
