In 1917, two girls become famous for apparently taking photographs of fairies

This family fantasy drama is based loosely on the tale of the Cottingley fairies and uses an accurate depiction of a local train in Yorkshire. Filmed on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway, ex-Lancashire & Yorkshire Railway Aspinall Class 27 0-6-0 No.1300 was borrowed from the East Lancashire Railway and was coupled to appropriate vintage stock. There is a shot of the train passing through the countryside and another of it entering Mytholmes Tunnel, in addition to several atmospheric scenes filmed on the platform at Keighley station.

A delightful shot of a period train passing through the Worth Valley hauled by Aspinall 0-6-0 No.1300
Phoebe Nicholls gives Bill Nighy a parcel just as the train is departing from Keighley
If the shot of the train passing through the countryside was delightful, then this shot is just as good. No.1300 storms into Mytholmes Tunnel
Paul McGann and fellow passengers board the train at Keighley as it is readied for departure
