The story of Michael Edwards who, in 1988, became the first competitor to represent Great Britain in Olympic ski jumping for sixty years
Although this feel good biopic sports drama recieved positive reviews, the whole film seems rather laboured, though well meaning, and it does not quite live up to its potential. There is an early, and very anachronistic scene that sees a young ‘Eddie’ standing in the street dreaming of his future. A modern day London Underground train crosses the viaduct behind him, somewhat blurred, but visible none the less.
