A chance photograph may reveal a murderer’s identity, and someone is after the photographer
This crime drama is based around a rather predictable theme, but it gets by well enough. It features a sequence where John Bentley takes a train journey to Winchester. This opens with a darkened shot of a Southern Region express passing through a station followed by a superb shot of streamlined Bulleid ‘Merchant Navy’ Class 4-6-2 No.35020 Bibby Line drawing to a halt at Winchester (City) station. This is a thoughtful touch, for as no filming actually took place in the city, this must have been a shot filmed by a second unit for the sake of continuity. It is unlikely to be a stock shot either, as the locomotive was not rebuilt until April 1956.
