A journalist in South Wales discovers a pagan cult involved in ritual sacrifice

The climatic night time scenes of this Welsh horror were filmed on the Dean Forest Railway using the line’s Class 108 DMU. These scenes were filmed at Norchard and involved the DMU, which was operating as a ‘postal train’, being hijacked by the pagan cult. The opening shots used the low level platform of the station whilst the yard was used for the final scenes.

Postal workers load the mail at Norchard Low Level platform. Prominent in this scene is Class 108 DMBS No.50619.
Craig Fairbrass onboard the DMU. Note how the seating has been removed on one side to allow for parcels to be stacked. This gives the impression of a mail train and was quite an extreme modification for such a short scene.

Another night time view of the Class 108, in this case vehicle 50619. The headcode box showing route code B3 was only fitted to 50619 and was removed during a 2014 refurbishment. Its operating partner 56492 never carried one in preservation.
The Class 108 in the yard at Norchard
There are a number of sequences that involve the actors running around the yard, but the majority of the rolling stock visible can not be identified. Craig Fairbrass stands alongside wagon 58044, a former GWR china clay tippler built in 1913. The identity of the chocolate and cream liveried coach behind him is unknown.
