A youth football team meet Manchester United and then go on to win their local cup competition

This sporting drama from the Children’s Film Foundation features an overall shot of the old undeveloped Manchester United football ground at Old Trafford and a Stanier 2-6-4T emerges from under a bridge in the foreground running light engine, bunker first.

Old Trafford Football Stadium dominates the background as a Stanier tank scuttles out from under the bridge and passes the platform that served the stadium on match days. The bridge carried Warwick Road North over the railway between Manchester and Warrington via Urmston but it has since been renamed Sir Matt Busby Way.
