Comedy misadventures plague a computer dating agency

The twentieth in the series of Carry On films opens with a scene filmed at ‘Much Snogging-on-the Green’, which in reality was Windsor & Eton Central station. A Class 121 DMU with trailer is seen departing. Later there is a short scene at the station with Sid James hailing a taxi and it shows the original features of the station to good effect.

The next shot shows Terry Scott onboard the departing DMU, and it appears to be a Class 121 single-car unit with additional driving trailer.

There are in fact some really good shots of the original station before it’s sacrilegious rebuild by British Rail in the 1980s. This is the old taxi rank outside, now completely rebuilt into a shopping ‘piazza’.
