A WOMAN OF MYSTERY

GB

Dir: Ernest Morris
Starring: Dermot Walsh and Hazel Court

A journalist is assigned to uncover the intricate web of crimes behind a young woman’s sudden death

This dinky little crime drama has a number of relatively standard railway shots that are used to depict a railway journey from London to Southampton. There is a shot of the concourse of Waterloo station followed by an elevated view of an express on Bushey water troughs. The station where Dermot Walsh arrives, however, is Watford Junction, and not Southampton.

An express passes Bushey troughs on its way to London. This view is from a now disused occupation bridge at Hartsbourne Woods with the bridge taking Watford Heath road across the railway in the background.
