This film noir features a shot of a train on the New Romney branch in Kent hauled by ex-LBSCR Class A1X ‘Terrier’ 0-6-0T No.3. The shot was taken from the 1947 film The Loves of Joanna Godden (qv). There are also a couple of brief shots of the viaduct in Brentford that carried the GWR branch from Southall down to the docks.

Dan Duryea marches with purpose beneath the railway viaduct that was located between The Ham and the River Brent in Brentford. This short section of brick viaduct carried the GWR branch from Southall over the River Brent on its way to the docks. The line closed to freight on the last day of 1964 and the area has seen much redevlopment but incredibly a small section of this viaduct, and one on the opposite side of The Ham still survive.
