A young mother in London struggles in her marriage to a convicted criminal
This drama is based on Nell Dunn’s 1967 novel of the same name and much of the film was shot on location in the areas around Battersea, Clapham and Wandsworth. There are several scenes that feature BR blue-liveried suburban EMU’s, and though most make quite indistinct background appearances, there is one shot that features a semi-distant view of EMU’s crossing over Plough Road in Battersea.
