Whilst suffering from glandular fever, an 11-year old girl discovers she can enter a house that she has drawn in her dreams

This dark fantasy was based on the 1958 novel Marianne Dreams by Catherine Storr. The original novel was the basis of a six-episode British TV series for children in the early 1970s, which was titled Escape Into Night. This film includes a good scene shot at the disused Highgate station on the old Great Northern Railway branch from Finsbury Park – Alexandra Palace, plus a short scene filmed onboard Mk.1 stock though it is not known where.
