MR. REEDER IN ROOM 13

GB
1938
1hr 18mins
Dir: Norman Lee
Starring: Malcolm Keen and Sally Gray

Mr Reeder is called in by the Bank of England to investigate a gang of forgers

This crime film was based on the first J. G. Reeder book, Room 13, by Edgar Wallace and was released in the US in 1941 as Mystery of Room 13. It features a going-away shot of a Midland Main Line express service entering a tunnel, double-headed by an ex-MR ‘Compound’ 4-4-0 and an LMS ‘Jubilee’ Class 4-6-0.

Although there is only the one railway shot in this film, we at least get to see two locomotives. The pilot engine of the express is an LMS ‘Compound 4-4-0.
Whilst the train engine is an LMS ‘Jubilee’ Class 4-6-0
