A rising rock ‘n’ roll star is conscripted into the Army just as he reaches the top of the music charts

This youth-orientated comedy has some opening scenes that were filmed at London Victoria station with Lionel Jeffries and Anne Aubrey boarding a departing train formed of 2 HAP EMU No.6017. The film was based on the 1958 novel Idle on Parade by William Camp.

The train departs with 2 HAP unit No.6017 on the rear
Hoards of screaming fans have blocked the entrance to the platform causing the train to depart without the famous star onboard. The train appears to be unit 6017 in what is an unusually accurate piece of continuity.
