Several teenagers with musical ambitions take jobs at a summer holiday camp where they enter a talent contest

This musical comedy used the Butlin’s Holiday Camp in Clacton, Essex as a location, and there is brief footage of Class 308 EMU No.153 on a Clacton-bound service. Rather good continuity from the producers. Musical films were a popular genre at the time and this one features both Freddie & The Dreamers and The Mojos, but it is not a good film, and it has dated badly.

An excellent and quite rare colour glimpse of a Class 308 AC EMU, in this case unit No.153 on a Clacton service. As it transpires, this shot is taken on the northern approach to the station at Clacton and thus journey’s end for the train and its passengers.
