A unmarried textile worker travels to Manchester for a secret liason with an unassuming man….

This short lesbian love drama set in 1950s Yorkshire was a huge success, and remains one of the most popular films of its genre today. It has won 17 international awards and 12 runner up / special mentions. The start of the film features a train journey from an unspecified Yorkshire town to Manchester Victoria, which is really nothing more than a short hop on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway from Ingrow to Keighley. The train is hauled by BR Standard Class 4 2-6-4T No.80002 and there are several run-by shots of the train on the line including one of it exiting Mytholmes Tunnel.

This is a very rare view of Ingrow station on the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway. As far as I can make out, this has so far been the only appearance of the station on film.
The Manchester train is ready to depart from Ingrow. The coach nearest the camera is KWVR No.38 (really BR Mark 1 TSO No.4900) built in 1960.
No.80002 bursts out of Mytholmes Tunnel, which is not on the section of line between Ingrow and Keighley. The film is set in 1952, the year that the locomotive was built.
No.80002 passes the camera under a good head of steam
