Tarzan, having acclimated to life in London, is called back to his former home in the jungle to investigate the activities at a mining encampment

This action adventure reignited the Tarzan name, an updated version of the story having been in the pipeline since at least 2003. Although considered by most to be just about above average it is watchable, and is certainly quite elaborate in parts. There are notable scenes that depict a train ambush in the middle of the jungle and these used Bressingham Steam and Gardens’ Swedish-built 2-6-0 locomotive No.377 King Haakon VII, though all filming appeared to have taken place at Leavesden Studios. Warner Brothers wanted a loco that looked like it could have run in Africa and the Congo and the loco was cosmetically restored for filming. Its appearance was also altered slightly for the production crew but it was not operational at the time, and all steam effects were provided by an onboard steam generator. Built in 1919 by Nydqvist and Holm AB, it certainly looked the part.
