The story of a Danish artist’s groundbreaking journey as a transgender pioneer
This biographical romantic drama is based on the 2000 novel of the same name by David Ebersdorf, but was widely criticised for its inaccurate portrayal of historical events. Much of the action takes place in Brussels, Copenhagen and Paris, so it stands to reason that a British railway location is used to add to the ‘historical inaccuracies’. The engine shed at the Didcot Railway Centre steps in as both ‘Copenhagen’ and ‘Paris’ railway stations, with ex-GWR 4300 Class 2-8-0 No.5322 starring.
