Dir: John Paddy Carstairs
Starring: Richard Attenborough and Sheila Sim

A London cab driver gets mixed up with a criminal gang and sets out to expose them for what they really are

This film noir has little in the way of real location work and is largely studio bound. In fact, other than the title sequence and two other dark scenes everything else used a studio sound stage, including the taxi journeys that had the usual back-projection rolling past. A couple of trams appear among the opening credits, but as these are at night they are rather difficult to discern.

The cluster of lights above the letters ‘CO’ belong to a tram. This is the clearest glimpse we get to see of one!!
Another tram can just be made out in this street scene. I’ll give you a clue, it’s over to the right.
