A war veteran tries to investigate the murder of his son who was working as a Russian translator for British intelligence during the Cold War

Near the start of this espionage thriller there is a scene filmed at Bank station on the Waterloo & City Line with a passenger getting pushed under an arriving train formed of a Class 487. Other scenes then follow that were filmed at Cheltenham Spa station. Michael Caine is pictured first onboard an HST, and then getting off a similar set at Platform 2. This is then followed by a number of shots within the station and a final shot of the frontage. Despite just a limited release the film received positive views. It was based on the 1984 novel of the same name by John Hale.

This is Bank station on the Waterloo & City Line. The train is entering into the platform, but the red tail lights are the correct frontal illumination for this self-contained line, where the use of headlights was not deemed necessary. The line was closed on Saturday afternoons and all day Sundays making it an accessible location for film crews.
