WHISPERING SMITH HITS LONDON

Dir: Francis Searle
Starring: Richard Carlson and Rona Anderson

An American detective investigates a London murder

This nifty little crime mystery features some scenes at the end that were filmed at London Paddington station and although no locos are seen, there are good shots of GWR Hawksworth-designed coaches. There is also a brief glimpse earlier in the film of the side entrance to Windsor & Eton Central station.

Richard Carlson leaves Windsor & Eton Central station and makes his way down the steps at the top of Goswell Hill
London Paddington. The train on the right is just arriving in platform 1.
This more unorthodox view from the footbridge at Paddington is equally of interest
A train is readied for departure in the closing scene
