The troubled lives of teenagers in West London

Early in this drama there is a semi-distant view of LT C stock visible from a balcony of a block of flats and there is a later scene filmed at Royal Oak Underground station, with more C stock visible along with a brief glimpse of a Class 180 DMU and a Class 332 ‘Heathrow Express’ EMU on the approach to London Paddington. In addition, there is a scene at Ladbroke Grove Underground station with C stock again present, a shot of the frontage to Marble Arch Underground station, and a passing shot of C stock on a Hammersmith and City Line service. The film was the prequel to Adulthood (qv).

In this view from Bramley House, a Hammersmith & City Line train of London Transport C stock is passing between Latimer Road and Ladbroke Grove stations.
In the centre of this view, the curved red awnings mark the entrance to Marble Arch Underground station on the Central Line
Ladbroke Grove station and clear evidence that the signs at platform level actually state Ladbroke Grove for Portobello Road.

The elevated A40 Westway dominates proceedings as a Hammersmith & City Line train approaches the camera. This rather fine shot was filmed from the footbridge between St. Luke’s Road and Acklam Road with the train running between Ladbroke Grove and Westbourne Park stations, the latter being just behind the camera.
It isn’t quite all Underground related, though this is a view from Royal Oak station on the Hammersmith & City Line. In the background, a Heathrow Express Class 332 and a First Group Class 180 Adlelante DMU (on the right) pass on the approach to London Paddington.
