This classic feature film is based on the 1960 novel of the same name by David Storey. It includes a scene where a drunk Richard Harris staggers through a goods yard at night. Open mineral wagons and box vans are visible, and although the location of this scene is not known, it was probably shot in the Leeds / Wakefield area.
