This stunning fantasy drama is based on Virginia Woolf’s 1928 novel Orlando: A Biography and was particularly acclaimed for its visual treatment of the settings of Woolf’s novel. The film’s final scene takes place in present-day 1992, just as Woolf’s novel ends in its present day of 1928, and is set around Canary Wharf. Some passing Docklands Light Railway P86/P89 units are visible in one shot.
