A social-climber acts as an upper class ‘gentleman’ to elevate himself as well as snare the daughter of his boss

This rather good black comedy was based on the 1952 short story The Best of Everything by Stanley Ellin. It features a number of brief shots of the frontages to several London termini, namely Marylebone, Paddington and Waterloo, but no trains are seen. The entrance to Green Park Underground station also appears.
